First Futures

First Futures is a free, 4-hour virtual workshop that makes futures design accessible to everyone. Futures thinking should not be reserved for experts, corporations, or people with fancy degrees. It belongs to everyone. First Futures is built on the belief that exploring the future should be accessible, inclusive, and hands-on.

Delivered via FigJam and Miro, the session guides participants through six core exercises: spotting signals, mapping consequences, designing speculative products, and creating future artefacts that challenge the status quo. It strips away jargon in favour of practical tools and shared exploration, grounded in radical imagination and the courage to question what we accept as normal.
