Symbiotic Systems

In a possible 2030 future, humanity faces the consequences of climate inaction. A hybrid artificial ecological intelligence has emerged as the governing force for Earth, implementing Symbiotic Systems to guide, nudge, or even force humans toward regenerative ways of living. These systems aim to safeguard the planet from human led destruction while steering us toward a sustainable Type 1 civilization.

This project explores and critiques our relationship with intelligence, our attempts to control it, and the impacts of our current behaviours. By distributing responsibility for climate change across all individuals, it asks what it would truly take to navigate toward ecologically positive futures, offering a speculative lens on the scale, responsibility, and transformation required to ensure planetary survival.
